歐洲氣象監察計劃「哥白尼」和聯合國世界氣象組織（WMO）星期一發表報告，指出2023年歐洲錄得破紀錄的「極端熱壓力」（extreme heat stress）日數，去年7月熱浪期間，有一天高達41%的南歐地區面對至少「強力」的熱壓力，是有紀錄以來歐洲最廣泛地區同一日面對熱壓力。
